After a 30-year career in the ACT and Commonwealth Public Service, I am loving the opportunity that retiring from the work force has provided – allowing me to fully indulge my creative side.
My husband and I have been cutting rocks, stones and semi-precious gems for close to decade (having completed a Cabochon Cutting Course in 2016), and since then, I have undertaken additional courses in Chainmaille (aka Link Ring jewellery), Viking Knit, Wire-wrapping, Skin-Polishing, working with Silver, making rings out of coins, Poly Clay jewellery, Resin and working with Alcohol Inks, and most recently, handmade cards.
I’ve been a bit of a bower bird for most of my life and incorporate objects from my various collections into my hand-made jewellery and other ranges (this currently includes natural stones, sea glass, shells, and coins). My husband and I sell our lapidary range under the label Fi and B’s Natural Stone Jewellery and I created a 2nd range 3FFFByFiona to separate my Resin, Poly Clay and Fused Glass pieces from my Natural Stone / Shell / Sea Glass jewellery.
The items available through the Artisans Nest are only a small selection of my jewellery, more can be found at the following locations:
- The Fi & B Natural Stone Jewellery Facebook Shop
- Bega Valley Indoor Marketplace Bega, NSW
- Shining Light Psychic and Wellbeing Fairs (various locations on the NSW Far South Coast, every 1 to 2-months)
- Good Earth Psychic Fairs
- Canberra Psychic Fairs
- The Central Tilba Markets (I’m usually there every 2nd Saturday of the month)
